Last summer, Precious Moments launched a book series called the Precious Girls Club. The series is designed to provide tween girls with positive and wholesome stories espousing Christian values. In conjunction with the books, they have also launched a virtual world of the same name.
I had the opportunity to chat with the development team for the website. I was impressed by the thought they had put into the various elements of the world, and by their willingness to listen to my feedback (which was not always positive). If you are raising a daughter in a Christian home, you may want to check out the Precious Girls Club virtual world. Your daughter can play online in an environment where you and she can both feel safe.

I think it’s important for girls to learn to be sensitive and not hurt each other by making hurtful comments. Especially about appearances and clothes. Be kind.

Its hard but I try to teach my kids that the people we should praise and admire are the everyday people not those stars. And that they are beautiful inside and out naturally…

I think an important trait for young girls is modesty and respect for themselves and for those in authority over them (parents in particular).

A good trait to have is to know that they can do anything and to also know they are perfect just the way they are. I tell my Granddaughter this all the time
