The kids were just sick a couple of weeks ago and now they’re sick again. I’m recovering from my cold, but they’re in full-blown snotty, germy, sickness. LadyBug takes everything in stride. She’s a bit moodier than normal, but generally plays in her normal, happy way. Bug, on the other hand, is a lot like his father. When he has a cold, the world comes to an end. "I don’t feel good, Mama," he moans as he drapes on the couch. Or, "My nose! My nose!" to let me know that he needs a tissue.
This morning, we reached the pinnacle of sick toddler snarkiness. LadyBug, who was away all day yesterday and happy to see her brother, walked over to say hi. Bug snapped at her, "No, don’t be happy! I’m not feeling well."
It’s going to be a long day.
